About this race
The OxMan Festival is a multisport race day held on rural roads near Oxford, featuring triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, run-only, junior, and kids’ events on the same schedule. The longest triathlon combines a 1.9 km swim with a 92 km bike ride and a 21 km run. The duathlon substitutes the swim for a 7.5 km opening run before the same bike and half-marathon run. The aquabike includes the swim and 92 km ride, and the multisport race offers a different structure with a short run, 46 km bike leg, 14.5 km run, and approximately 10 km of kayaking.
The run-only options are straightforward: OxRun is a 21 km road race over three laps of the circuit, and OxDash is a single 7 km lap. Early starts schedule the main triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike first at 7:30 AM, with most other races commencing around 8:30 AM. Participants can range from serious multisport athletes to road runners opting for the 7 km or 21 km distance, and younger participants. Junior OxMan, Mini OxMan, and OxKids Duathlon provide children and beginners with shorter events centered on swimming or running, biking, and a concluding run.
