TrailNav Series 3
Sunday, September 20, 2026 · Muriwai, New Zealand
About this race
Muriwai Regional Park provides this third stop in Lactic Turkey's TrailNav Series 2026 with an off-road character: not a direct race, but a points accumulation across park terrain. TrailNav Series 3 is designed for teams of 2 to 5 or solo participants who prefer setting their own pace, whether that involves a fast run between checkpoints or a more measured hike-jog while consulting the map.
The format is straightforward, as good navigation events often are: locate as many checkpoints as possible and earn points for each. The added element is the "mystery activities," which may demand "brains, brawn, teamwork, strategy" or a mix of all. Navigation is accessible, with "no compass needed," meaning if you can interpret a street map, you should manage; the difficulty lies in determining routes, pacing, and team reliance.
