About this race
Bieg Wielkich Serc is a charity running and Nordic walking event in Krakow, located on Bulwar Kurlandzki near Galeria Kazimierz. The main event is a 5 km run starting at midday, with earlier starts for Nordic walkers, scouts, and children. It coincides with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Final, and entry fees benefit the “Healthy bellies of our children” program.
The day is designed for mixed groups, not exclusively fast runners: family teams, scout groups, children, casual walkers, and regular racers each have their own start time. The Nordic walking portion, named Batalia Wielkich Serc, is approximately 1.5 km and guided by world champion Jakub Deląg, while the scout run covers a similar distance. Children navigate age-adjusted courses, all participants receive commemorative medals, and top finishers are awarded additional prizes.
