Bieg Czterech Generalow 2026

Bieg Czterech Generałów is a 10 km race held annually on September 10th within the grounds of Modlin Fortress in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. Organized by Fundacja Nasza Historia, the event utilizes the fortress setting instead of a typical city circuit. A recent edition saw 160 registered participants, with 140 starting and 139 finishing, indicating a focused, local participation rather than a large-scale event. Timing is recorded by net time, with splits available at the start, 5 km, and the finish line. The course crosses one of Poland's significant historical fortress locations, situated approximately 30 km from Warsaw where the Vistula and Narew rivers converge. Modlin Fortress, with origins in the Napoleonic period and subsequent expansion under Russian rule, provides a backdrop directly referencing the site's military past. The leading runners complete the 10 km distance in under 40 minutes, and the participant list includes club athletes and local runners from the Mazovia region. As a second edition event, it is a relatively new race, but its unique historical setting distinguishes it from many smaller 10 km races.
