About this race
Bieg Pamięci Jana Szewczyka is a July community race held in Zbrza, a village within the Morawica commune. The race begins and concludes at the OSP Zbrza fire station. The primary event covers approximately 5 km, with a nordic walking option over the same distance and additional shorter races for children and young people.
The course winds through Zbrza's streets, featuring a blend of asphalt and gravel surfaces, making it a varied route rather than a simple road run. This race commemorates Jan Szewczyk, the former village administrator of Zbrza. Participants include local residents, adult runners, children, and nordic walkers. The event is linked with a family picnic, and one past edition saw a record 160 participants.
