About this race
The Jaworzno Triathlon "Stalowy Sokol" begins at the beach on Lake Sosina in Jaworzno. Competitors move from the water into a short, sharp triathlon. The main race consists of a 400 m swim, a 10 km bike ride, and a 3 km run. This course is suitable for newer triathletes while remaining fast enough for serious competitors. It is typically held in September and has been an annual event since 2013, establishing it as a consistent fixture in the Silesian racing calendar.
The location. Sosina offers clean lake water, a beach, wooded areas, running paths, playgrounds, and food vendors, making it suitable for both participants and families. The field includes professionals and amateurs, with recent editions attracting approximately 138 participants. Iron Dragon Triathlon organizes the race, which also features relay options, including sprint and standard relay formats, each with separate time limits. Entry is limited and typically sells out quickly, reflecting the race’s established local tradition and its reputation for dependable organization.
