About this race
The Odra Triathlon is a short-course event in Krapkowice, Opole Voivodeship, Poland, featuring a 1/8 Ironman distance. The race consists of a 475-meter swim, a 22.5 km bike ride, and a 5.25 to 5.5 km run, suitable for athletes seeking a genuine triathlon experience without the demands of long-distance racing. Grupa Kapija Sport organizes the event, which offers individual starts, relay team options, and separate races for children and youth.
The event headquarters are located by the County Office, with the main competition commencing around midday following morning registration. The cycling and running courses utilize closed roads within Krapkowice and the adjacent area of Odrowąż, incorporating streets such as Kilińskiego, Aleja Jana Pawła II, a section of 3 Maja, Wiejska, and Szkolna. This setup creates a town and local road race environment, distinct from a park-loop course. Ambitious amateurs and seasoned competitors compete over the same distance, while relay options allow teams to divide the swimming, cycling, and running segments.
