About this race
Orient Gravel Szlak Tatarski is a gravel cycling race held in Krynki, Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland. The start is at OSiR Krynki on Kościelna Street. Participants select either a 120 km or 200 km route. The 200 km route starts earlier in the morning than the 120 km route. Both routes have a 14-hour time limit. The race uses a GPS track for navigation, not a fully marked course. Participants get the route file two weeks before the event.
The course crosses the multicultural Sokółka Land, Knyszyn Forest, Sokółka Hills, and Poland’s eastern border region. It features Tatar landmarks, including Kruszyniany and the historic mosque in Bohoniki. Past event materials mention a start from the Bohoniki mosque. Riders can use gravel bikes, MTBs, or other non-road bicycles. Live tracking is available on sledzgps.pl, showing rider positions and the leaderboard. This is the event's third edition. The route passes near a herd of almost 300 bison and concludes with Tatar cuisine for participants.
