About this race
Poznańska Korba is a one-day gravel race near Poznań, featuring a 180-kilometer route beginning and ending at the OAZA Błonie campsite in Kórnik. The course is predominantly off-road, crossing the relatively flat Wielkopolska landscape. Despite the terrain, it has established itself as a challenging cycling event in the area because of its length and surface.
The course incorporates sections of the Bicycle Ring around Poznań, leading participants through woodlands, open fields, and village lanes instead of a confined urban loop. Accounts from cyclists suggest it is suitable for dedicated amateurs and seasoned riders, though not for casual participants. One rider's experience included a flat tire, a damaged rim, a fall on the Warta path, swollen fingers, abrasions, bruised ribs, and the oversight of forgetting all repair tools.
