Smoczy Cross Maraton is a trail running event based at Brandysówka in Poland, with the Będkowska Valley as its main playground. Instead of road racing, it sends runners onto Jura terrain with ravines, limestone rock formations, and rougher ground underfoot. The race offers four distances: Smoczysko at 50 km, Smok at 30 km, Smoczka at 21 km, and Smoczuś at 12 km.
The course choices make it work for very different runners, from people ready for an ultra-style 50 km day to those who want a shorter mountain-style run. The event also brings in families through Cumelek children’s runs and a separate competition for younger participants. Walkers have their own option too: Smoczuś NW Walk over 12 km, which gives the weekend more range than a standard set of running races.
