About this race
The UKIEL Sunset Run Olsztyn begins and ends at Lake Ukiel. Runners will use city streets rather than paths around the lake. This late-August evening race in Olsztyn features a fast afternoon 5K, the Popoludniowa Piatka, and an evening 10K, the Wieczorna Dycha. Participants can choose the 5K, the 10K, or both. The routes are PZLA certified, ensuring accurate distances for those aiming for a specific time.
The 10K course is a single loop starting from the main CRS Ukiel beach and heading into the city center. It passes notable sites like City Hall and the High Gate before returning to Ukiel. The 5K route remains within the primary race area, serving as a faster warm-up. The event also includes timed children's races with age-group distances ranging from approximately 300 meters for the youngest to about 1200 meters for teenagers. These children's races are part of the Justyna Burska Memorial, incorporating a local memorial aspect into this new city running event organized with Olsztyn's Sports and Recreation Center.
