The Bieg Peowiaka Trail is a 10-kilometer trail race held in Zagórów, a small town in western Poland. Established in 2018, its name references the local branch of the Polish Military Organization, commonly abbreviated as POW. This event is a local trail race, not a large urban road race; its sixth edition saw 74 participants.
The course crosses forest terrain. One year, the course became wet midway, which organizers described as a “shower in the forest.” The race is deeply connected to Zagórów’s community, with support from town authorities, the cultural center, schools, associations, motorcycle groups, the fire brigade, police, public library, and municipal services. Families of POW members have attended from Wołomin, Gniezno, and Zagórów, and a shooting competition takes place concurrently with the race.
