Jesienny Festiwal Szakala
SAT OCT 24
Jesienny Festiwal Szakala is a two-day autumn running festival in Łódź, held on the last weekend of October in Łagiewniki Forest and the Łódź Upland Landscape Park. Runners can choose from several trail-style races: the Ultra Szakal of about 51-52 km, the Half Marathon Szakala around Łagiewniki Forest, a 7.8 km cross-country race, and a children’s race called Bieg Szakalątek. There is also the Szlem Szakala, a combined classification for runners who complete both the ultra and the half marathon. The routes use forest paths and dirt roads rather than city streets, with marked courses and track files available for navigation. The short cross race is aimed at runners who usually race 5 km but want a tougher off-road step, and its route goes over the hills and paths of Łagiewniki Forest. The festival is organized by Sports Club Szakale Bałut Łódź, and its identity is tied closely to local runners, autumn forest conditions, and the Łódź trail scene.
Leśny Półmaraton 70-Tka Tediego
SAT OCT 24
Leśny Półmaraton 70-tka Tediego is a small forest half marathon in Walidrogi, in Poland’s Opolskie region. The race is 21.1 km on forest paths, with a field capped at just 70 runners and electronic timing for official results. The low entry limit makes it a local, compact race rather than a crowded mass event. Finishers receive a commemorative medal, and the race is put together by the Tarnów Opolski municipal office, the Tarnów running group “Leśna Draka,” the From Dusk Till Dawn Foundation, and several local partners.
Maraton Komandosa
SAT NOV 28
Maraton Komandosa is a forest marathon of approximately 42 km held in Lubliniec. Participants run in full field or training uniform, not standard running attire. The start and finish are located near the Forest Park, with the Military Running Club Meta Lubliniec serving as the organizer. The number of participants is limited to 999, and this cap is often reached before the race date due to high demand. The course follows forest roads and does not provide aid stations, requiring participants to manage the marathon distance through their own provisions. Mandatory items include long sleeves, military or tactical boots that extend above the ankle, and a dark backpack measuring at least 45 x 30 cm carried by each runner. A Mini Maraton Komandosa is also available for children up to 13 years old; this 1 km race is limited to 25 entrants, and these young participants also carry a 4 kg schoolbag or backpack.

About Marathon races in Wieluń

Wieluń Training Notes

Wieluń hosts 12 Marathon races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals keep running simple in Wieluń, with the Lasek Miejski loop, park alleys, the city stadium area, Planty miejskie im. Jana Pawła II, and the three city parks all close enough for weekday laps. Wings for Life World Run uses a 5 km repeat on May 10, 2026. Local Runs Wieluń feels useful because it was built by a runner for runners and lets people share local training routes. WKS Wieluń, MKS Wieluń, Junior Wieluń, MLKS Wieluń, and MUKS Pamapol Siatkarz Wieluń keep the small scene visible. Wieluńska Piona and Masowy Bieg Uliczny Pętla Wieluńska are the obvious anchor races.

Cyclists in Wieluń get a bigger menu than you expect, because Bikemap lists 140 routes around town. Sekcja Cyklistów „Relaks” is the name to know, and the group meets every Sunday at 10:00 AM in front of the Poviat Starosty building. The Relaks season opener on May 1, 2026 rolled about 30 km round trip to Przywóz, so it works as a proper anchor event. The route covers 7 km with 294 m of climbing. The Wyżyna Wieluńska is where you look when you want the climbs, not just Z2 base miles.

June and July are the sweet spot here, and most people get on their bikes in those months. Summer gives runners easy laps through Lasek Miejski, Planty miejskie im. Jana Pawła II, and the park alleys, while cyclists can stretch from a short Stare Sady spin to a gran fondo day on Szlak Jury Wieluńskiej. The cycling season with Sekcja Cyklistów „Relaks” runs until September, so Sunday rides keep their rhythm. Winter moves the mood, with runners keeping intervals tighter around town and the artificial ice rink on os. kard. Wyszyńskiego running every year from October to mid-March.
