12º Passeio BTT Bombeiros de Messines

The 12º Passeio BTT Bombeiros de Messines is a Sunday morning mountain-bike ride starting from the volunteer fire station in São Bartolomeu de Messines, Faro district. Participants begin and end their journey at the Quartel dos Bombeiros Voluntário. Both regular and e-bikes will compete on either 40 km or 60 km routes. Registration is 15 euros, with a maximum of 361 participants allowed. The event is organized by the Bombeiros Voluntários de S.B. Messines - Grupo Cultura e Desporto. This gives it the atmosphere of a local fire-brigade club event rather than a large commercial race. Currently, most participants are opting for the 40 km route, while smaller groups are selecting the 60 km and e-bike categories. Lunch is available for purchase for riders and guests, making it convenient for families or friends to remain after the ride.
