5th Trail Manuelino 2027

Trail Manuelino begins and ends in Abiul, a village within the Pombal municipality of Portugal’s Leiria District, situated in a green valley at the base of Serra do Sicó. This trail-running event, organized by Associação SicóTrilhos, features three competitive races of 32 km, 18 km, and 12 km, alongside a 12 km walk and a children's trail race. The 18 km race is designated as Trail Sprint, and the 12 km race is named MiniTrail. The routes traverse technical singletrack, rural paths, and dirt roads through the hills and valleys surrounding Abiul, making the day suitable for runners seeking uneven terrain over a road-race pace. Adult trail races are open to participants aged 18 and older, with parental consent required for minors. The 32 km and 18 km races contribute to the Leiria Athletics Association trail circuit and the Trail and Trail Sprint 100 series of the Trail Running Association of Portugal. The organizer also incorporates environmental stewardship, local promotion, awards, massages, and a community lunch following the races.
