Half Marathon Loures-Odivelas-Loures

The Half Marathon Loures-Odivelas-Loures begins and ends at Parque Adão Barata, connecting the Portuguese municipalities of Loures and Odivelas. The primary event is a 21 km road half marathon taking place in September, starting at 09:00 with a 3-hour time limit. This event also includes a 10 km run, a 6 km walk, and a children's race on the preceding day, catering to club runners, casual runners, walkers, and families, not exclusively half-marathon specialists. The course links the two cities, reviving a past athletics race held between them many years ago. Loures and Odivelas co-organize the event under the motto "Together for Sports," aligning with European Sports Week. The half marathon holds a World Athletics international measurement certificate, verifying the course distance and allowing results to be counted for national and international rankings. Participation is limited across all events, chip timing is provided with the bib, aid stations are available on the course and at the finish, and awards are presented to the top overall finishers, age-group winners, and half-marathon team competitors.
