LIDL S. Silvestre Cidade do Porto

Lidl S. Silvestre Cidade do Porto is a night road race in central Porto, typically held in late December as part of Portugal’s end-of-year São Silvestre tradition. The Porto event begins on Avenida dos Aliados and concludes by Porto City Hall, with an evening start that transforms the city center into a busy running venue. It features a 10 km run and a 5 km walk, accommodating competitive runners, casual joggers, and those who wish to walk through Porto at night. The course crosses Porto’s streets and the illuminated quays, passing historic monuments. Approximately 18,000 participants have entered the race, filling the streets of the Invicta near the year's end. The event has a long history, with over thirty editions completed, and its appeal lies in a city-center course, a nighttime setting, and a field that combines club runners with families, walkers, and friends concluding the year together.
