Louzanskyrace®

Louzanskyrace® is a trail race series held in Lousã, Portugal, within the Coimbra district. The next event is scheduled for early October. Participants can select from three mountain routes: 7 km, 16 km, or 25 km. The shortest route is a Vertical Race covering 1000 m of elevation gain. The 16 km route involves 1550 m of climbing, and the 25 km route has 2130 m of ascent, indicating that even the shortest distance presents a significant challenge. The races traverse the Serra da Lousã, utilizing mountain, forest, and natural terrain surrounding the town and its adjacent villages. The 25 km trail is the most frequently chosen distance. This event is integrated into the UTMB® Index race system. It caters to runners seeking concentrated, demanding climbs in central Portugal, offering a choice between a steep vertical challenge and extended trail runs through the hills.
