About this race
The Trail do Pote Gondar e Orbacem begins and concludes in Gondar, within the Caminha municipality of northern Portugal. This trail running event features two races and one walk: the Long Trail covers approximately 28.5 km with about 1,090 m of elevation gain, the Short Trail is around 19.5 km with roughly 890 m of elevation gain, and the walk spans about 11.6 km with approximately 295 m of elevation gain.
The routes traverse the Serras de Gondar e Orbacem, Serra de Santo Antão, and Serra D'Arga, connecting paths and trails through several local parishes. Participants will encounter mountain paths, forest roads, streams, and rocky terrain, requiring physical preparation. The Long Trail is designated for adults, while the Short Trail is open to runners aged 14 and older. The walk is accessible to individuals aged 12 and up with parental consent for minors. The walk commences after the Long and Short Trail runners have finished, and the event concludes with support and an awards ceremony.
