Trilho do Neveiro

Trilho do Neveiro is a November trail-running event in Castanheira de Pera, Portugal. The race starts and finishes in the village of Pera, near the Church of Sao Sebastiao. Participants can select the 32 km Long Trail, the 19 km Short Trail, or the 10 km Mini Trail. A 10 km option is also available for walkers. The routes traverse trails and mountains on the southern slope of the Serra da Lousa, passing through historic locations around Pera and Coentral. Many athletes return annually for this event, organized by Prazilandia with local backing from the municipality, parish union, firefighters, and CERCICAPER. The event's name references the local history of the neveiros of Coentral, the mountain snow workers commemorated in the region.
