Trilho dos Linces

Trilho dos Linces is a mountain trail event held in November in the Serra do Alvão, above Vila Real, Portugal, featuring technical terrain. The event offers multiple distances within the same mountain setting: a 50 km ultra, a 35 km trail, a 21 km sprint, a 12 km mini trail, a 12 km solidarity walk, and children's races. The routes traverse mountain trails, natural paths, and villages throughout the Serra do Alvão, catering to experienced trail runners, walkers, and newer participants. Equipa Linces do Marão organizes the event, with support from Vila Real and local parish councils. The 50 km and 35 km races are competitive, counting towards ATRP national circuits and UTMB and ITRA indexes. The 35 km and 21 km races are part of Vila Real regional trail championships. The event also supports local recovery efforts following wildfires, with a portion of registration fees dedicated to reforestation in affected areas.
