Ultra Trilhos da Gardunha is a trail-running series held in Louriçal do Campo, within Portugal’s Castelo Branco municipality. Its courses traverse the Serra da Gardunha. This event was the first significant trail-running competition organized in Castelo Branco, providing four distance choices: a 50 km ultra with 3,000 m elevation gain, a 22 km trail with 1,200 m, a 13 km mini trail with 600 m, and an 11 km walk.
The courses follow Gardunha's mountain paths, leading participants past Roman roads, irrigation channels, watermills, waterfalls, weirs, and river springs. Approximately 600 individuals participated in the inaugural edition. Feedback from participants regarding the course, markings, changing facilities, and catering was positive, indicating a compact yet efficiently managed mountain event.
