About this race
Jämjöhalvan is a road race held in November in Jämjö, Sweden, organized by Team Blekinge LF. The event uses a flat loop course around the village, with the competition center and finish located at Jämjö Knowledge Center. Participants can select from a 500-meter children's race up to 5 km, 10 km, and the half marathon. Additionally, Jämjöhallenstafetten allows four-person teams to collectively cover the half-marathon distance.
The race format is straightforward: 5 km constitutes one lap, 10 km requires two laps, and the half marathon involves four laps, allowing spectators to observe runners multiple times. The course is officially measured and employs chip timing. Water stations, officials, and guides from Team Blekinge are present throughout. It also serves as a seeding race for Göteborgsvarvet, enabling faster runners to improve their start group. The shorter races and relay are accessible to families, club runners, and newcomers.
