Jönköping

Jönköping sits on the southern shore of Vättern, Sweden's second-largest lake, with mostly flat terrain around the city centre that rises into forested hills to the north and east. Marathon de Jönköping and the Jönköping 10K/5K use the lakeside roads and city loops; cyclists tackle the gravel and forest routes of Grenna Gravel (145km) or the classic CykelRallarn (61km) which heads north through the Småland plateau. The region's mix of lake-flat and rolling woodland makes it suited to both steady running efforts and technical cycling over mixed terrain.
