About this race
Mossarun is a small charity trail race in Skåne, southern Sweden, typically held in September. The primary event follows a 17 km forest loop, with extended options of approximately 51 km and a 24-hour ultra listed at 101 km. A children's race is also offered in the local style. The race does not focus on prize money; participants pay a standard entry fee that covers essential costs such as medals, bibs, food, and race operations. A suggested charity donation is 500 SEK, roughly 50 euros.
The course primarily consists of singletrack, featuring technical terrain and numerous short, steep ascents instead of long, flat road segments. The 17 km loop includes about 390 m of elevation gain, the 51 km version has approximately 1170 m, and the 101 km race reaches about 2060 m. Mossarun also hosts a winter edition, which includes an extended 21 km distance and a 500 m section known as the WTF Backyard loop. The event is designed as a relaxed trail running day for ultra runners, club members, families, and individuals who value the charitable aspect as much as their race performance.
