About this race
Sjögarpslunken begins and ends at the Vivåsen ski station, located in the woods near Boxholm, Sweden. This morning off-road running event is put on by Boxholm-Ekeby Skidklubb. Children’s races are held before the main events. Adult and older participants can select from 14 km, 7.5 km, or 5 km courses. A 5 km Nordic walking class, for those using poles, is also available.
The event is organized locally and practically, with a single base at the ski station and routes through the forest. Distances are offered for both dedicated runners and families. Younger runners have their own races: 3 km for ages 12-13, and 1.5 km for ages 10-11 and 9 and under. Having reached its 50th edition, the race demonstrates its established presence in Boxholm’s club-running schedule.
