Dukelský beh mieru is a 20 km road race in eastern Slovakia, running from Dukliansky priesmyk to the pedestrian zone in Svidník. The main race starts in the morning and uses an asphalt course, so it is a straightforward point-to-point run rather than a trail event or a lap race. The City of Svidník organizes it, and the program also includes earlier children’s races, including starts for the youngest “lezúni” group.
The route links the Dukla Pass area with the town center of Svidník, which gives the race a clear local identity tied to the Dukla name and the region’s borderland history. The event is old by road-racing standards, with more than six decades of editions behind it. Adult fields are split into detailed age groups, from younger senior runners through men over 70 and women over 50, so the day is built for local club runners, veterans, and recreational runners as much as for the fastest athletes.
