Račiansky kros - leto is a summer cross-country race held in Bratislava’s Knižková dolina, located above the amphitheatre in the Rača district. Participants can select a 16 km route, commencing at 10:00, or a 9.5 km route, starting ten minutes later. Shorter children’s races will follow from 10:20. This marks the event’s eleventh edition, which previously saw 319 registered participants, with a maximum entry limit of 399.
The longer course involves a 503-meter climb, and the 9.5 km option includes 335 meters of elevation gain. Approximately 80 percent of the running takes place on forest paths, with the remainder on asphalt, characterizing it as a hilly woodland race rather than a flat road event. The main races feature age categories for both men and women. Children’s distances are 100, 200, and 400 meters, catering to ages 1 through 15. PERUN o.z., in conjunction with the Bratislava-Rača local authority, organizes the race.
