Gobbler 5K, 10K, 13.1M & 26.2M at Homestead, FL (48)
SAT NOV 28
The Gobbler race in Homestead, Florida, begins at 8:30 AM, offering runners four distance options: 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. This is a paved road race with a straightforward process: registration is handled via RunSignup, packet pickup is available 30 minutes prior to the start, and on-site registration is not offered. The shorter races follow an out-and-back route; the 5K completes it once, and the 10K completes it twice. The half marathon and marathon also use an out-and-back format, repeated multiple times: four laps for the half and eight for the full marathon. The course has a 6-hour time limit, with restrooms located at the parking lot entrance.
Holiday 5K, 10K, 13.1M & 26.2M at Homestead, FL (52)
SAT DEC 26
The Holiday race in Homestead, Florida, is a paved running event offering 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon distances, all beginning at 8:30 AM. The event is headquartered at 27401 SW New York Ave, with all registrations managed through RunSignup; on-site registration is not available. Packet pickup is efficient, opening 30 minutes before the start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the race. The 5K and 10K utilize a 1.56-mile out-and-back course, completed once for the 5K and twice for the 10K. The half marathon and marathon follow a distinct 1.64-mile out-and-back loop, run four times for the half and eight times for the full marathon. Participants should anticipate a compact, repeating loop structure. The race has a 6-hour cutoff, provides finisher medals, awards, series points, optional apparel, and a costume award that aligns with the holiday theme.
Lost in Miami Ultra
SAT JAN 9
Lost in Miami Ultra challenges runners to cover as much ground as possible through Miami within 18 hours, beginning and ending at Hero Martial Arts in Palmetto Bay. This urban ultra features an unmarked course, no repeated loops, and a field limited to 40 participants. A few days prior, organizers provide a list of required landmarks, and each runner designs a route connecting these points. Final rankings are determined by total miles completed within the time limit, verified by GPS tracking at the finish. The event combines a running challenge with city navigation. Runners must visit the required landmarks, take selfies at each, and return on foot to be eligible for the podium. Participants can adjust their plans during the race, a crucial element given how distance, timing, traffic signals, weather, and route decisions impact the final outcome. Team entries and informal partnerships are permitted, allowing some runners to complete the day collaboratively rather than as a solo endeavor. All finishers receive a medal, shirt, and race merchandise.

About Marathon races in Miami

Miami Base Miles By The Bay

Miami hosts 3 Marathon races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run Miami Beach boardwalk, South Pointe Park to North Beach, The M-path, Brickell Key, and the Brickell, Bayfront Park, and Miami Riverwalk line when they want water and skyline. Miami Beach boardwalk stretches for several kilometers along the Atlantic Ocean, between white sand and palm trees, so easy Z2 feels less boring. Miami Run Club meets Tuesday and Friday at 7:15 PM, Wednesday at 6:00 AM, and Friday can go 3 to 10 miles. Friday runs usually settle into a 5-mile social rhythm. The Life Time Miami Marathon and Half Marathon, Tropical 5k, Heart Health 5K, and Run It Back 5K Run/Walk sit as anchor races.

Locals ride The Underline, Old Cutler Trail, Rickenbacker Causeway, Venetian Causeway, Snake Creek Trail, Commodore Trail, and Miami LOOP when they want steady base miles. Rickenbacker Causeway gives the classic Key Biscayne out-and-back, and Key Biscayne Out'n'back runs 48 km with 68 m of elevation. Everglades Bicycle Club, Cycle World Miami, Doral Cycling Club, Miami Bike Scene, and 305 Urban Bike Club keep the calendar full. Don Pan runs a 30-mile Hammer Ride to Key Biscayne, and Kendall Lakes can stretch a road ride to 62-75 miles. The climbs are mostly causeway bumps, because Miami and Miami Beach sit at sea level with no noticeable elevation changes. GRAN FONDO CYCLING CHALLENGE MIAMI is the anchor event.

November to April gives Miami its best training block, with warm, dry mornings and winter highs in the 70s and 80s. Locals stack base miles, marathon work, gran fondo prep, intervals, and crit legs before the sun gets loud. May to October brings the hot, wet season, and daily thundershowers make timing matter for runs, road rides, gravel, and singletrack. South FL gravel is mostly by canals, and the Everglades side stays exposed and flat, so riders keep pedaling and respect the heat and wind. Winter hits softly here, and runners and cyclists just get more company on the boardwalk, The M-path, Rickenbacker, and Old Cutler.
