Recurring 10K races near Portland

Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Longview Early Edition Rotary Harvest Classic
SAT OCT 3
The Longview Early Edition Rotary Harvest Classic begins at the Life Works building on New York Street in Longview, Washington, offering fall-morning races for runners, walkers, school teams, and young children. Participants can choose from a 5K run/walk or a 10K run, both starting in the morning. Additionally, there is a High School Challenge 5K and a free quarter-mile Pee Wee Fun Run for children aged 9 and under. This event has benefited the community since 1980, with its fundraising efforts directed toward hunger relief in the Longview area. The 5K and 10K courses are flat, fast, and USA Track & Field-certified, suitable for those aiming for a personal best or enjoying a leisurely walk. The route passes through downtown Longview and by Lake Sacajawea, with the RaceJoy app providing historical context about the city. The High School Challenge features cross-country teams competing for team plaques and individual ribbons. The Pee Wee Fun Run includes games and activities for children, coordinated by the Child & Adolescent Clinic. Timing is managed using RFID chips on bibs, and race-day weather is typically mild, often ranging from the low 40s to mid 50s.
Norfolk Land Trust Trail Race Series/Haystack Mountain Challenge
SUN OCT 4
The 12th Annual race series unfolds across the picturesque landscapes of Barbour Woods and Haystack Mountain, offering a challenging and scenic experience. This trail event provides special access to private paths for its grueling half marathon, alongside options that traverse Beech Hill and wind past the historic Killarney Bridge. Runners will navigate a diverse course featuring a mixture of single and double track, carriage roads, and a flat stretch of railroad bed. Expect intense single track leading to the summit of Norfolk's iconic Haystack Mountain Tower, descending on carriage paths and gladed wetlands like the Swamp Trail. This is a cupless event, and while dogs are not allowed on the course, finishers can enjoy a free slice of pizza and beverages from Norbrook Farm Brewery.
ORRC Best Dam Run - 10K
SAT OCT 10
The ORRC Best Dam Run is a point-to-point 10K in Estacada, Oregon, with separate starts for walkers and for runners or run/walkers on race morning. Participants take a bus about 6 miles east of town to the North Fork Lake start, then head back toward downtown Estacada, where the finish is located on 4th Avenue just off Broadway Street. The field is capped at 750 entrants, and the course closes at noon. The route begins at the east end of Faraday Road, follows the Clackamas River for much of its length, connects with Highway 224, and finishes near the post-race food and awards area at SE 4th Ave and Broadway. The initial 4.5 miles are on a private PGE road, and the course provides views of water, forest, geology, bald eagles, osprey, and waterfowl. It is USATF certified, with aid stations offering water and Gatorade at the start and around Mile 3. Overall awards are presented for walking and running, including open and masters divisions for male, female, and non-binary entrants.
The Great Pumpkin Run
SAT OCT 24
Eola Hills "No Hills" 5K/10K
SAT NOV 14
The Eola Hills "No Hills" 5K/10K is a road race held in November in Rickreall, Oregon, offering both 5K and 10K distances. The start is located at 501 S Pacific Hwy W, grounding the event in small-town Polk County rather than a large metropolitan area. The name highlights the primary appeal: participants can select a short or long distance without facing a demanding uphill course. While public race listings provide limited course specifics, one participant gave both the course and organization a perfect 5.0 rating, describing it as a race they greatly enjoyed.
Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk - 1k/5k/10k
THU NOV 26
The Ann Arbor Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day fun run and walk in Ann Arbor, Michigan, featuring a 5K and a non-timed Tot Trot 1K. The 5K is chip-timed, provides official results and award eligibility, and is suitable for families as well as runners aiming for a specific time. The 1K offers younger children their own short race, ensuring the morning is inclusive for all ages and running abilities. The event embraces the holiday spirit: participants often wear costumes, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies at the finish, and can take photos with Turkey Tom and Santa. Runners, walkers, and crawlers are welcome, reflecting the day's relaxed atmosphere. Each entry includes a finisher medal, and a portion of the entry fee benefits the ChadTough Foundation, with options for additional donations during registration.

About 10K races in Portland

Portland Base Miles

Portland hosts 25 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Forest Park is the local default when you want dirt, shade, and real Z2 without leaving town. The main fire-road artery runs 2 miles, and singletrack branches off it all day. The Waterfront Park loop gives you a roughly 3-mile river lap between the Steel Bridge and Hawthorne Bridge. Steel Bridge to Sellwood Bridge makes a 10-mile long-run loop by the Willamette River. Portland Running Company keeps the week moving with Monday trails, Tuesday intervals at Duniway Track, Thirsty Thursdays, and Sunday long runs from NW Raleigh. No Name Trail Club joins the Monday trail run. Portland Marathon, Hood to Coast, Starlight Run, and The Cascade Run-Off are the anchor names locals know.

Portland riders use the river, the greenways, and the hills depending on the day. The Heart of St. 5 mostly flat miles, while lower Greeley gives that quick protected-lane downhill grin. Forest Park and Powell Butte handle urban gravel, and Leif Erikson Drive keeps the base miles simple. The BPA road has a 5km descent, and Firelanes 12 and 15 give the legs some bite. The Lake Oswego route packs 25 miles with Maple Leaf, SW 27th Ave, Springbrook Park, Iron Mountain, and Cooks Butte. Portland Bicycling Club runs rides through the week, Gravelland PDX covers the gravel crowd, and Pioneer Century, Monster Cookie Metric Century, and Reach the Beach 2026 sit on the calendar.

Spring, summer, and fall are the cleanest training months here. Forest Park stays cool in summer under Douglas firs, red alders, western hemlocks, ferns, and moss, so runners keep using Leif and the trails when the streets feel warm. The Eastbank Esplanade gives 1,200 feet of floating walkway when you want a river spin or a soft recovery jog. Locals use summer for long Z2, gran fondo prep, crit legs, and dry singletrack. Winter changes the kit more than the habit. Serious cyclists ride year-round with full coverage fenders, waterproof cycling shoes, thermal bibs, rain pants, and a breathable rain jacket. Group rides thin out, but they do not disappear.
