10th Anniversary - Lakeland Police Foundation Fallen Heroes Memorial 5k 2026

The Fallen Heroes Memorial 5K is an annual Saturday-morning race in Lakeland, Florida, held at the YMCA on Cleveland Heights Boulevard. It raises funds for the Lakeland Police Foundation, which supports current, retired, and future members of the Lakeland Police Department. A virtual option is available for those who wish to participate remotely. The foundation directs race proceeds to education grants, hardship assistance, retired police canines, the Police Explorer Program, and maintenance of the Fallen Heroes Memorial at the Lakeland Police Department. This memorial honors seven Lakeland police officers who died in service. Packet pickup occurs at the memorial prior to race day. All finishers get a medal. Age-group awards are presented for categories from ten-and-under to 85-and-older. A distinct Military/Public Safety award recognizes the fastest male and female finishers with service in law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, or the U.S. military.
