About this race
The 18th annual Belleville Gingerbread 5K Run/Walk takes participants through downtown Belleville, Illinois. The start and finish lines are located at Belleville Parks & Recreation on West Main Street. This holiday-season event begins with the Ginger Loop, a kids’ mile for ages 3 to 12, followed by the 5K.
The course follows downtown Belleville streets, distinct from a trail or park loop. The event is designed for families and 5K runners alike. Each participant receives a long-sleeve event shirt, finish-line photos, and a gingerbread cookie. Proceeds benefit new playground equipment at Nichols Community Center on East D Street, directly supporting a local parks project.
