2026 PGXC Race Series

The PGXC Race Series is a five-race cross country series held in Upstate New York, with locations in Buffalo, Syracuse, and Rochester. It takes place in the fall, catering to Open and Masters runners, while also welcoming beginners and others interested in cross country. Local clubs throughout Western New York host the series, now in its 37th year. Participants can compete individually or as part of a club, vying for series points, age-group prizes, team awards, and club recognition. One event doubles as the Niagara Championship, and the series concludes with Championship Day. Awards reflect a local, practical focus: overall male and female winners receive Wegmans gift cards, age-group winners get smaller Wegmans gift cards, the top ten in each age group are awarded custom PGXC Nalgene bottles, and the top three teams in each age group earn prizes. A U13 kids race is also included, extending the series' reach beyond the primary Open and Masters categories.
