3rd Annual LSC Soccer Stride

LSC Soccer Stride is a community 5K and kids’ run held at Ledyard Center Town Green in Ledyard, Connecticut. The main race is an officially timed 5K, and the 1/4 Mile Kids Fun Run is for children ages 10 and under, starting before the 5K. The event supports the Ledyard Soccer Club, a volunteer-run 501c organization, so the day directly benefits local youth soccer, not a large commercial race. The 5K begins at the top of the Town Green and follows an out-and-back course from the town center toward the high school, utilizing the new multi-use pathway. Runners go behind Ledyard Congregational Church, connect with Town Green Road, turn onto Colonel Ledyard Highway, proceed toward Gallup Hill Road, enter the high school’s upper parking lot, pass the school and roundabout, and run a lap on the high school track before returning the same way. The route accommodates strollers, but runners should be aware of oncoming traffic and share the path. Kids’ run finishers get medals, the first 100 5K registrants receive event shirts, and top finishers get medals and special gifts.
