About this race
The 4 Peaks Gran Fondo is an Idaho road-bike event held in August. The full 4 Peaks option covers over 80 miles with nearly 8,000 feet of climbing. Organizers refer to it as the "Toughest Ride in Idaho." The format is unique: cyclists complete the entire road course, but only the uphill segments are timed.
The full ride is designed for strong cyclists, those with high fitness levels, and, as the event humorously notes, the "casual masochist." A Single Peak option is also available, focusing on the climb to Crystal summit. This shorter option serves as a distinct challenge and a preparation ride for the full 4 Peaks route. Previous results are accessible, and participants can purchase event kits prior to race week.
