4th Annual Shelter Friends 5K

The Shelter Friends 5K is a Sunday morning 5-kilometer race held at North Lake Park in Mansfield, Ohio. The start and finish lines are located at 268 Hope Road. This event supports The Richland County Dog Shelter, functioning as a local charity run rather than a major destination event. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m., the race begins at 10:30 a.m., and awards are presented at 11:30 a.m. The course winds through North Lake Park, and a map is available for participants who wish to preview the route. The entry fee is $30, which includes a T-shirt for those who register by the early deadline. Awards are given to the top two finishers in each age group, with divisions ranging from 14 and under to 80 and over, welcoming children, adults, senior runners, walkers, and shelter advocates.
