About this race
The Rocket Run begins and ends at Mary Lin Elementary School in Atlanta. A 5K run/walk starts at 8:00 AM, followed by a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 9:00 AM. Participants can opt for the 5K, the 1 Mile, or the Rocket Challenge, which includes both distances. The event accommodates walkers and families, with a 59-minute time limit for the 5K and a 30-minute limit for the mile.
The 5K route follows Candler Park neighborhood streets and the Freedom Park Path before looping back to the school. Children under 8 may participate in the 5K when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pets are not permitted on the course. All funds raised benefit the Mary Lin Elementary PTO. Early registrants will receive limited-edition Rocket Run shirts, subject to availability of stock and sizes.
