Abington Triathlon 2027

The Abington Triathlon takes place in late May, beginning at Abington High School in Abington, Pennsylvania. This local sprint-distance triathlon features a 300-meter swim in the school's heated pool, followed by an 11.5-mile bike course over rolling hills. The race concludes with a 5K run across the Abington High School and Middle School campuses. For those not wishing to complete the full swim-bike-run, the event also includes a team triathlon, duathlon, 5K, and an aqua bike option. The course is contained within the school grounds, linking the pool, start line, and run course to the Abington campus, with the bike leg extending onto nearby hills. This race benefits Abington youth and community organizations such as the Abington Community Task Force, Citizens and Police Together, and the Police Athletic League. As a relatively new event, it relies on volunteers, giving it the character of a community fundraiser rather than a major destination event.
