About this race
The Antelope Island Fall Classic is a late-season trail race held at Antelope Island State Park in Davis County, Utah, starting at White Rock Bay. It has been a fixture in Utah trail running since the early 2010s, offering ultra and half-marathon distances, including a 50K, with recent additions of a 75K and a 10-mile loop. The event typically occurs near the end of the running season, when the weather is often cool enough for fast, comfortable running, although snow is a possibility.
The course circles the island on rolling desert trails, ridgelines, and open terrain above the Great Salt Lake, featuring approximately 3,500 feet of elevation gain for the 50K. Participants will experience the island's less-traveled west side and might encounter free-range bison, deer, antelope, and bighorn sheep. The 75K extends to Frary Peak, the island’s highest point, via an out-and-back segment, while the 10-mile course utilizes singletrack around Bridger Bay. The race maintains a traditional trail running atmosphere with hand timing, visible bibs at the finish, drop bags, well-supplied aid stations, nearby camping, no pacers, no dogs, and playful heckling of unregistered runners.
