Ashenfelter 8K Classic & The Tom Fleming 2K

The Ashenfelter 8K Classic and The Tom Fleming 2K are paired road races in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Both start from Glen Ridge High School at 200 Ridgewood Avenue. The 2K begins at 8:15 AM, with the 8K following at 9:00 AM. Proceeds from the event benefit the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation. The 8K follows a USATF-certified, mostly flat road course through historic Glen Ridge, featuring two water stops. The 2K is a USATF-certified out-and-back course on Ridgewood Avenue. The 8K commemorates Horace Ashenfelter, a local Olympic steeplechase champion. The 2K honors Tom Fleming, a local runner who twice won the New York City Marathon. Trophies are awarded to the overall male and female winners in each race. USATF New Jersey members receive a small registration discount if they sign up before race week.
