Asheville Turkey Trot 2026

The Asheville Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day race held in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. It features a 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run, the Gobble Wobble. The race begins on Woodfin Street near the Downtown YMCA and concludes at Pack Square Park, placing the morning's activities in the heart of the city. Jus’ Running presents the event, with timing provided by Right On Time Productions. A portion of the proceeds benefits MANNA Food Bank. The 5K route starts on Woodfin, heads toward Central Avenue, ascends to East Chestnut Street, and proceeds via Charlotte and Evelyn Place. It includes a water stop on Murdock Street before returning through North Liberty, Orange, Central, Woodfin, Oak, and College streets to finish at Pack Square Park. The 1 Mile route shares the downtown start and finish, following Woodfin, Central, Orange, South Liberty, Elm, Oak, and College streets. The course is not fully closed to traffic, and pets are not permitted, contributing to a more controlled environment on shared city streets.
