About this race
The Ashland City Half Marathon begins and ends in Ashland City, located approximately 20 minutes west of Nashville, and takes place in early March. This is a flat, USATF-certified half marathon with a three-hour time limit, designed for runners capable of maintaining at least a 13:44 per mile pace rather than for walkers.
The course commences at Riverbluff Park, proceeds along the Bicentennial Greenway, and circles back via Chapmansboro Road alongside the Cumberland River. Local competitive runners from the Nashville area utilize this same circuit for time trials and tempo runs, indicating its nature: it is very flat and measured, but not a simple out-and-back.
