About this race
The Hammerman Area of Gunpowder State Park provides a beautiful backdrop for this event, offering two days of racing for the whole family. This year brings a special focus on young athletes, with a brand-new youth event making its debut. It's a welcoming atmosphere for participants of all ages, highlighting the joy of triathlon.
Young triathletes, aged 6 to 15, will enjoy a dedicated course with a swim, bike, and run all safely contained within the park's boundaries on Saturday morning. Following their event, adults can tackle sprint triathlons, with women racing Saturday afternoon and men on Sunday. This festival is truly "one of Maryland's most popular triathlons" for good reason, creating memorable moments for every participant.
