About this race
This event remembers DoD personnel who died in service. The 5k is a straightforward course; the longer distance is a variable challenge. The leader carries the American flag, which must not touch the ground, passing it person to person. Standard bearers are immortalized on the staff. Participants, including runners, walkers, and ruckers, support Blue Star Service Dogs and Bay Veterans Foundation. The Bay City Memorial Run Events 2026 is about teamwork and honoring, ensuring we leave no one behind.
