BE THE LIGHT 5K RUN/WALK for NICU families 2026

The BE THE LIGHT 5K Run/Walk is an evening 5K in Texarkana, Texas. It starts at dusk from the CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital campus. Fearfully and Wonderfully Made hosts this event during NICU Awareness Month in September. It is a run/walk focused on supporting premature and seriously ill babies, their families, and the hospital staff who care for them. The route departs the hospital campus, proceeds along Sisters' Trail down Galleria Oaks Drive to Robin Lane, and returns to CHRISTUS St. Michael after dark. Participants are encouraged to wear glow-in-the-dark gear to highlight the race theme on the course and in its cause. The event features a lantern or candle release. Children may participate with a stroller option at no cost, but this entry does not include a shirt.
