About this race

Big Texas Ultra is a trail running series held at Russell Park on Lake Georgetown, near the Texas Hill Country. The event features 100K, 50K, and 15K distances, along with a Friday 15K Run & Ruck. The 100K and 50K races begin and end at Russell Park, with a 20-hour time limit for the 100K. The 100K course involves running a 31.1-mile loop twice, accumulating over 4,600 feet of elevation gain. The 50K loop has approximately 2,300 feet of gain. The terrain includes rocky trails, jeep roads, and some paved sections, with aid stations located at the start/finish, Overlook, Country Club, and Lone Star. The 15K is an out-and-back course with about 700 feet of gain. Ruck participants must carry either 20 or 30 pounds, based on their body weight. All participants must carry hydration. A headlamp is mandatory for 100K runners during the latter half of their race.
