About this race
Hike along Pikes Creek, through wetlands with ferns and wildflowers. The trail winds through woods, fairly steep and curved, to a sandy opening near the Big Top Chautauqua. Optionally, venture up Mount Ashwabay. Look for warblers, thrushes, and woodpeckers during migration season, and spring wildflowers. The trail can be muddy when wet.
