About this race
Blazing Trails for Brain Injury is a 5K run and 1-mile Walk/Roll at Chalco Hills by Wehrspann Lake in Omaha, Nebraska. The Brain Injury Association of Nebraska hosts this event as a fundraiser open to all abilities and families. Runners, walkers, wheelchair users, families, youth, and teams are welcome.
The in-person events begin in the morning. Virtual 5K and 1-mile options are also available for those not in Omaha. The 5K is professionally timed by Peak Performance: The Running Store. The 1-mile Walk/Roll offers a social, accessible way to support the cause. Participants may register individually or form teams with family, friends, schools, or workplaces. Water and snacks will be provided. Funds raised will remain in Nebraska to support brain injury prevention, education, advocacy, support, awareness, and resources for those affected by brain injury.
