Bobcat is a November trail race at Burr Oak State Park in Ohio, offering marathon and half marathon distances. The course is predominantly off-road, with trails comprising about 90 percent of the route. It accommodates both runners and hikers, not exclusively competitive racers. The marathon has an 8-hour time limit, and the half marathon has a 7-hour limit, allowing ample time for participants maintaining a consistent trail pace. The marathon features a single-loop course with undulating terrain, multiple creek crossings, and segments of the Buckeye Trail. The half marathon is a point-to-point race utilizing the same trail network. Burr Oak Lodge is the primary lodging for race weekend, with a room block available by phone, and it typically fills up around the event dates.
