Bogus Trail Series

The Bogus Trail Series is a three-race trail running event at Bogus Basin, near Boise. Each race takes place on a Friday evening. The races cover 4 to 6 miles, utilizing singletrack trails with significant climbing and descending. All races begin near the Simplot Lodge entrance. Participants can register for individual races or the entire series. The courses wind through Bogus Basin’s trail system, with each event featuring distinct vertical challenges instead of a repetitive loop. The series attracts local trail runners seeking a summer evening race alongside members of the Boise running community. Runners completing all three races receive a custom hat from Fleet Feet Treasure Valley. The evening schedule allows participants to finish, socialize, and return to Boise near sunset. Boise Running and the Boise Front Trail Festival organize the series, the same group that hosts Idaho’s largest trail race.
